The car was an original 1965 Corvette convertible still wearing its original paint. The interior of the car was original but in need of restoration. The only damage to the car was a crack in the right front fender. The car was in remarkably good condition. The frame was completely straight and rust- free and appeared to have never been an accident. The gentleman who restored the car assured that the engine and the transmission in the car today is the drive- train when he restored it and are matching numbers to the car. The restoration took several years and cost over $50,000.00 all of which is documented. The mileage on the car when the restoration started was in the low 50’s, the odometer shows 65,800 miles which may very well be correct. A great deal of time and expenses went into restoring this beautiful Corvette making it a truly wonderful car. 2001 - In 2001 this rare Corvette went through an extensive detail and service at a local Corvette shop at a cost of $10,888.00. This service included the complete removal of the engine and transmission for the purpose of detailing them both as well as a complete engine compartment detail. In addition the engine was completely serviced including main seal and gaskets. Also included with this service were power steering service, front suspension service, head lamp service and cooling service. Also at this time a set of Goodyear radials were added and the front end was aligned. The interior received new carpet and floor insulation. 2003 - The current owner purchased this car after many years of searching for this exact model. It has been kept in the garage and driven lovingly on a regular basis. Routine maintenance has been kept up.
