The Gulf One is arguably the most famous and historically significant of the 1963 Z06 Corvette Stingrays. It was one of only 14 regular production Corvette Serial Numbers assigned specifically for competition. First purchased from Yenko Chevrolet by Gulf Oil Research and Development Vice President Grady Davis, its first race was the one and only Puerto Rico Grand Prix where it placed first in class. It was then heavily campaigned in SCCA and International Sports Car racing, with its best showing a GT3 class win and third overall at Daytona.

I sold my 1963 Vette because I was getting married and my wife wanted a larger car. Now I wish I had kept it and not gotten married. But that is life.
